Or maybe he meant "I'm in man". As in I'm in, dude. I see in his signature he's in Corte Madera, CA (that's in Marin Co), so maybe there's a double meaning here  .

I'm here... i drive daily from Sunnyvale to South San Francisco and back. I see a few TV's around the area, usually getting a smile and a wave.
...I'd love to find a good and knowledgable mechanic familiar with these things...

I'm in San Francisco. Lots of folks I know in SF/OAK have toyota vans too (I've even turned my downstairs neighbour into a vanwhore now - he has 2 awesome cargo vans).
I keep seeing awesome vans around the city. The mission is especially full of them.
I spotted an immaculately shiny dark blue windowless cargo on oak st yesterday, it had the front toyota panel painted with chrome paint. Very classy!

Hey Jon(Weasel),
I have a buddy in the city that not so recent bought a cargo van for a dollar! It was beat but it got him to and from Burning man last year. I grew up in the city in the 70's 80's & 90's and you're right about seeing them in the Mission. Theyre cheap, practical & of course the parking ,or lack of there in the Mission...generally speaking .
I dare say the perfect van for living in the city!
Anyway, this is great , we now have myself in Concord, Rawbspear in Marin , DJwheels in Sunnyvale and weasel in SF!
2 2wd owners & 2 4wd owners!
Cheers :D

Bought my '88 cargo new at Walnut Creek Toyota in Jan. '89. I regularly drive through the Bay Area going between Eugene, OR and Visalia, CA. US 101 is so much better of a drive than I-5. Two of my three vans are covered with amateur (ham) radio antennas. Wave if ya see me! :D
'88 2wd 5spd cargo conversion, dark brown, "Sentimental Journey" (Bought her new in Jan. '89)
'87 4wd 5spd, manual hubs, dark blue, "In The Mood" (Thanks Steve B.)

timmareng; what a story of pride yours must be. to be able to say i am the original owner of this van. i drove it off the lot back in 89. i would pay to be able to boost that claim today; some 24 years later.
lots of fun times and memories

that dark blue van on oak street is mine. it got stolen once but i got it back. i actually just scraped the black paint off the grille in front, underneath it is all chrome on plastic. took about an hour with a razor blade and a lot of patience. TRY IT! :) just be careful to not scrape off the chrome too. oh yeah, you have to have a grill that has chrome letters to begin with.
